About the Journal

Vertimo studijos (Translation Studies) is an annual academic journal that publishes articles covering a wide range of topics concerning translation and interpreting. The goal of the publication is to provide a forum for discussion for Lithuanian and foreign scholars on the theory and practice of translation, to introduce the latest findings in translation research to its readership, to encourage scholarly discussion and seek answers to questions raised in the fields of translation and interpreting. The submitted articles are peer-reviewed and discussed by the members of the Editorial Board. Articles are accepted in Lithuanian, English, German, French and Russian.

Vertimo studijos (Translation Studies) is an open access journal, the content of which is welcome and free of charge to any interested user or institution. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, and provide links to the complete texts of the articles in Vertimo studijos without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

Publication Ethics

The editorial team and reviewers of Vertimo studijos (Translation Studies) follow the COPE (the Committee on Publication Ethics) code of conduct and best practice guidelines which aim to define best practice in the ethics of scholarly publishing. The authors who submit articles for publication to the journal are also strongly recommended to follow the guidelines of COPE for best publishing practices.
